In an interesting move by Sprint to attract more subscribers, they are knocking $100 off of the new iPhones coming this Friday. This makes the 16GB iPhone 5c free on contract, and the 32GB model priced at $99. This puts 16GB iPhone 5s for only $99.99, the 32GB for $199.99 and the 64GB $299. The $100 off promotion was last seen when the carrier launched the Moto X and only applies to new customers. Sorry current Sprint subscribers, you’re stuck paying full price.
So Why Else Should You Switch Over to Sprint?
The timing of this promo works out for Sprint’s favor as they are rumored to launch their ‘One Up‘ early upgrade plan on the 20th – the same day the new iPhones launch. Sprint has joined the other carriers with programs that allow you to upgrade early. Sprint’s One Up program allows you to get a new device with no money down and pay in monthly installments. After one year you can trade-in your current device for a new one. Sprint’s One Up plan will allegedly save you $220 over T-Mobile’s Jump plan. Check out the leaked screen shot of the One Up plan chart. What do you think about that?
One Up seems like an even better deal. It’s like AT&T Next, in that there’s no down payment, and like T-Mobile Jump, in that there’s a discount on your monthly plan cost. – The Verge
