It’s been a long time coming! The Apple iPhone 5S rumors are back. Summer is getting underway and we’ll be speculating for the next few months over what the next device will be, what will it have and more. You know how that goes. But this time pictures of the iPhone 5S leaked ahead of schedule.
Over the past weekend, MacStories was tipped off with images of the next-generation iPhone. No real surprise that the hardware resembles the current model, the iPhone 5. Being a S model means we should see a bump up in internal hardware, iOS 7, and possibly a new feature exclusive to this device.
iPhone 5S Leaked – Possible Specs
- According to the images, consumers should expect a more powerful CPU w/ the A7 processor (no word on dual-core or quad-core yet) coupled with 1GB of RAM.
- Bigger camera sensor (possibly 12 or 13MP) now w/ dual-LED flash for better low-light photos.
- A bigger internal battery. About 8% bigger to be exact.
- Apple may finally pull the trigger on a fingerprint scanner patent they have been holding onto for a while now. The iPhone 5S would have a new Home button that doubles as a biometric fingerprint scanner for additional security measures.
So far, this everything revealed thus far about the next-gen iPhone. The new iPhone and iOS 7 are due out in the fall.
Does this sound tempting for iPhone 4S owners to upgrade to? Or do you need to see more? Who’s still checkin’ for iPhone?
