After being spotted at the official unveiling of
Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS, you can get a
clear look at one particular employee’s device to see a huge Nexus
logo (like the 2nd-gen Nexus 7 tablet), along with an LG logo, and
a massive camera sensor. As far the newest version of Android
OS , everyone presumed it would be version 5.0, named
“Key Lime Pie” but instead we got version 4.4,
called “Kit Kat“.
As far as
the new Nexus 5 smartphone , it definitely seems to be an
improvement from last year’s Nexus 4 smartphone which didn’t have
any LTE capabilities. Many consumers were disappointed by the
lack of the LTE antenna as they were stuck with HSPA+ connectivity.
The Google Nexus 5 specs look like
this:
- a
4.95 inch 1080p IPS LCD display - powered by a
2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor - 2GB
of RAM - choice of 16GB or 32GB of
storage - 8MP rear-facing camera
- 2300 mAh battery
- faster Wi-Fi ac
support - LTE
- Qi wireless
charging + NFC
lower MP on the rear shooter – this a modified version of
the LG G2
What changes are
immediately noticeable in Android Kit Kat 4.4 ?
some interesting changes to the visuals. The launcher on the
homescreen is more refined. The icons are bigger in the app
drawer. “Google Photos” appear to have
replaced the Gallery app. You can still access the camera
from the lockscreen as you would now drag the Camera icon to the
small circle launcher.

have an always-listening mode like on the Moto X (OK, Google Now).
Also, the Hangouts app will offer built-in text-messaging as
we mentioned earlier this week. The event has been rumored to
happen as early as next week. Whenever it is, we will see
what other surprises Google has in store for us.
And thanks to <a
@Evleaks, we got a great
press shot of what the White version of the latest Nexus
smartphone. Offering a Black finish in the front and White on
the back. Google is going to make it hard to consumers to
choose between the Black or White colors. Also, Ev gave a
date of November 1st too.
