So there is a new FuelBand in town. The original of fitness bracelets out there must recognize the competition. Check out what new features come with the new Nike FuelBand SE
Nike FuelBand SE
The new FuelBand looks very similar to its predecessor. But of course the wearable tech has a bit more fashion thrown in. It now comes in a few more colors. They have their official names, but they look like, black and neon yellow, black and orange, and black and pink ( Volt, Pink Foil or Total Crimson).
Originally launched in early 2012, the iconic Nike+ FuelBand tracks all day movement using NikeFuel. The new Nike+ FuelBand SE builds on the iconic design and experience and delivers even more information and motivation to keep users moving. The Nike+ FuelBand SE comes in classic black with the addition of color options on key parts of the band. It will now be available in France, Germany and Japan, in addition to the U.S., UK, and Canada.
Nike+ App Updates
Along with updates to the FuelBand, Nike has updated their fitness apps. They updated the Nike+ Running App and have added a new app, the Nike+ Move App. Of course the core app the Nike+ FuelBand App has been upgraded to track even more data. “Session”, such as a run or a gym workout session are now tracked on the FuelBand app as a session. The app also uses stats to “motivate” the user to reach their FuelBand goal.
Nike+ Running
For example, Nike+ Running has added a Photo Share feature. It allows the runner to share photos to social media networks (don’t post gruesome sweat pics please LOL). Another feature added to the Nike+ Running app, is Auto Pause. With Auto Pause, the app’s GPS technology knows when the runner stops and it stops the workout. When the workout stops, the camera app opens allowing the runner to take pics. Auto Pause resumes tracking stats when the runner starts up again.
Nike+ Move App
The Nike+ Move App is an introductory NikeFuel experience for iPhone 5S users. Nike+ Move measures when, where and how you moved and uses NikeFuel to motivate you. Nike+ Move then lets you compare your movement with that of your friends or other Nike+ Move users around you.
You can purchase the Nike FuelBand SE tracker on November 6th for $149. You can pre-order the device today at:
