Well it’s that time of the year again. You might regret upgrading your current smartphone when you hear this: Samsung has another “Samsung Unpacked” Event. Samsung is set to unveil their next Galaxy device (the Galaxy Note III or 3) at Samsung Unpacked Episode 2 (Episode 1 was the Samsung Galaxy S 4 smartphone). The phone is to be announced before the IFA tech conference in Berlin, Germany. Samsung revealed the original Note smartphone and the Galaxy Note II at previous IFA tech conferences.
There are no official specs on the device they’re releasing. But you can take hints where it says “Note the Date”. If you’ve seen previous Galaxy Note smartphones, their main features are the big display and S Pen (stylus). With the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 you can expect a larger screen size. Rumors report from a 5.7 inch to a 6.3 inch 1080P flexible display, alongside a 13 megapixel camera, 3 GB of RAM. I’m sure the overseas version will have an octa 8-core processor.
While Samsung usually focuses on one device mainly, they usually have a few other items to release. Many are expecting the Samsung smartwatch and/or health band that goes along with their S Health app.
I honestly don’t know what further updates the Note 3 (Note III) can bring. I’m sure it will have many of the features of the S 4. Will it have all the camera features? Will it be waterproof and dust-proof like the Galaxy S 4 Active? Do you think Samsung will finally change from a plastic body to an aluminum/metal body? I’m looking forward to more S Pen related features that can be applied universally.
Are you still excited when Samsung announces a device? How big should a phone be? Which one do you think is best the Galaxy S 4 or the Galaxy Note 3?
