Chevrolet unveiled the 2014 Corvette Stingray at a special event Sunday, January 13, 2013 in Detroit, Michigan. The new Corvette is the most powerful standard model ever, with an estimated 450 horsepower (335 kW) and 450 lb.-ft. of torque (610 Nm). It will accelerate from 0-60 in less than four seconds. It’s expected to be the most fuel-efficient Corvette, exceeding the EPA-estimated 26 mpg of the current model. Check out the electrifying debut of the Stingray below…

In addition to unveilings, this was a huge weekend for the Cadillac brand as well! Detroit makers dominated as the 2013 Detroit Auto Show opened up with the annual North American International Car and Truck of the Year awards. The 2013 Cadillac ATS was awarded Car of the Year by NAIAS as well as ‘Urban Car of the Year’ at the Urban Wheel Awards.
Cadillac also unveiled the new 2014 Cadillac ELR based on its 2009 concept electric vehicle this week. Not only did Cadillac premiere the most stylish electric vehicle which will go into production later this year, it also won the Eyes On Design Best Production Vehicle Award as well.
