That’s why today in New York City, Sandra Lee and many of her friends all came together to host the World’s Largest Bake Sale benefitting the Food Bank of New York City and No Kid Hungry Campaign.
Sponsored in part by Kmart, Shop Your Way, Hasbro, Domino Sugar, C&H Sugar, Duncan Hines and PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese – Sandra Lee brought her co-chairs Mario Batali, Emeril Lagasse, Bobby Flay, Martha Stewart, Guy Fieri, Buddy Valastro, Ty Pennington, Wendy Williams, Rosanna Scotto and Dylan Lauren to raise awareness and bake sale – SALES! There were over 35 of the best restaurants and bakeries in the area crafting the most irresistible cookies, cakes and cupcakes. With sweet treats for sale at only $5 each, every cent of every purchase benefitted No Kid Hungry and Food Bank For New York City.
With plenty of delectable delights from the Food Network, Junior’s Cheesecake Bakery and more – I couldn’t think of any better reason to put my money to good use and towards a great cause!
If you weren’t able to make it out to Grand Central Terminal for the World’s Largest Bake Sale there’s still time to make a difference. Between now and May 31st, Kmart will donate $1.00 to Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry up to $10,000 each time you spread the word on Facebook and Twitter or share a Sandra Lee recipe card with friends and family.
