Remember there was once a time where you couldn’t live without BBM? It was the go-to messaging app! After announcing the once-popular instant messaging service (BlackBerry Messenger) coming to other platforms back in May, Blackberry is ready to roll it BBM for Android and iOS this weekend. Just short of missing their targeted summer launch, BBM is finally coming to Android and iOS. Android users will get it on September 21st while iOS users will have to wait a day to get it on the 22nd.

BBM Features
You will have access to sharing files, voice notes, & images along w/ conducting group chats of up to 30 people. BlackBerry will give every BBM user a PIN to maintain the high-level of security w/ your chats. BBM Channels and BBM Video are in the works for the Android and iOS as well. Android 4.0 Ice Cream and iOS 6 is the minimum requirement for devices to use BBM.
According to the facts, it looks as though BBM is still quite popular. But with the release of the messaging app there might not be a need for any BlackBerry hardware after the BBM multi-platform rollout.
