During a recent media experience, Nissan invited guests to enjoy all the style and speed that the new Z offers in exhilarating Las Vegas, Nevada and surrounding dessert. We dined on amazing cuisine, experienced a Circ D’Solel show and enjoyed the lights, sights and sounds that only Vegas can provide. While most people find it easy to get entranced by Sin City fun, I came prepared with one thing on my mind, the Nissan Z special edition, aka the Z Proto Spec.

It was introduced for the first time in 2020 and I was one of the first to lay eyes on it and the Aryia prior to mass production. What makes this distinct model so special? The Proto Spec is limited to just 240 units in the U.S.; and includes one-of-a-kind design features in a new Ikazuchi Yellow exterior,yellow-colored brake calipers with Z logo, bronze-colored 10-inch RAYS aluminum-alloy wheels, exclusive shift lever knob, exclusive Proto Spec leather-appointed seats with yellow accents and suede/cloth door trim with yellow Proto Spec interior stitching. To be clear, the full exterior color line up is beautifully crafted and will make any driver stand out on the road. The new 2023 Z is available in three monotone exterior colors – Black Diamond Metallic, Gun Metallic and Rosewood Metallic. The new Z is also offered with a two-tone exterior, including six colors combined with a Super Black roof: Brilliant Silver, Boulder Gray, new Seiran Blue, new Ikazuchi Yellow, Passion Red TriCoat and Everest White Pearl TriCoat.

The Z Performance grade includes a 9.0-inch touchscreen with navigation and NissanConnect® Services with Wi-Fi hotspot. Also included is an 8-speaker Bose® Audio system with Active Noise Cancellation and Active Sound Enhancement.
