Since seeing Prince & Michael Jackson in concert was on my bucket list – it’s imperative that I write about my experience watching Prince perform live in his first East Coast concert since 2004. The Welcome 2 America Tour hosts a variety of jazz and R&B special guests from Lalah Hathaway, Sheila E, Janelle Monae and more.
After seeing his mind-blowing performance last week, I thought – “If I had any way I could thank Prince for this experience, what would I do?” Instantly I thought, “I’d buy him a Christmas gift.” (Wait, isn’t Prince a Jehovah’s Witness? *insert Homer Simpson “D’OH” here*) Which spawned yet another thought… if Prince did celebrate Christmas, what would his tree look like? What about his presents? So for all you Prince stans (and purple lovers…) I present “A Very Purple Christmas”…
