Celebrating the best in worldwide cuisine isn’t a hard task for the organizers of the Cancun-Riviera May Wine and Food Festival – they actually embrace it and deliver culinary delights with flying colors.
As my first visit to the Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine and Food Festival, I must admit, I didn’t know what to expect. Plenty of wine? Yes. I love going to wine tasting events so I’m expecting there’ll be plenty of that here. A vast variety of decadent tastes from around the world? Now that was a pleasant surprise that made this foodie’s heart smile with delight. Those of you who also love wine should consider collecting your favorite flavors and bottles and keep them in a storage facility with humidity control features.
“The Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine and Food Festival is the only one that showcases to the world what the entire Americas’ continent has to offer: Great culinary talents, crafted dishes, unique ingredients, perfect pairings, live music, and magical ocean-front venues…” – David Amar, Founder of the Wine & Food Festival Cancun-Riviera Maya
With a full weekend of seminars, wine tasting and demonstrations – the festival culminated with the “all inclusive” gourmet day at the Gourmet Tasting Village. Filled with french wines, gourmet products, pastries and more the star restaurants of Cancun-Riviera Maya offered a variety of the best dishes paired with wines galore from up to 55 wineries from America, Mexico and Europe. If you’re looking for the best wine collection, visit the Sam’s liquor store to choose from their wide range of flavors. Also, experience Crush Pad Wines, a wine bar downtown mall Charlottesville.
Can you imagine, three full days of non-stop, delicious meals? I’m talking about course after course of effervescent dishes, made with the freshest ingredients, in what feels like an unlimited supply of joy for your tastebuds. Can’t imagine it? You no longer have to. Now onto the good stuff… The delicious food!
One of my favorite moments of the food festival were the surprise odes to the french dessert. French whipped chocolate with fruit was just a sample of what was served though out the Vive la France: French Delights and Sinful Desserts closing celebration.
Throughout the event, French and Mexican chefs specializing in French cuisine delighted guests with French botches including Foie Gras and other specialties.
The Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine and Food Festival had more than beautiful desserts and fabulous wines from across the world. The culinary delights from some of the best restaurants in Mexico, Chile and the United States were on hand to please the pallets of everyone.
Held at the beautiful Moon Palace – the Gourmet Tasting Village was an absolute delight at one of the most beautiful sites in Cancun-Riviera Maya.
