Where can you discover breath-taking views of the Pacific ocean with cascading rays during sunset. La Casa Del Camino, that’s where. During this summer’s visit to Laguna Beach, California – I had the pleasure of checking out the beach-luxe vibes of Hollywood’s elite.
La Casa del Camino quickly became a local favorite for the former Hollywood elite when it opened in 1929, making it a perfect coastal destination. This historic, Mediterranean-style boutique hotel features the beach in its backyard and located in the heart of Laguna Beach. For over 80 years, Laguna Beach residents and visitors from around the world have enjoyed the spectacular views and unique charm that can be found only at La Casa del Camino.
La Casa del Camino offers more than any other landmark in the city. From graceful arches and rustic wooden balconies that capture the Spanish revival style, to the soaring views of the laguna village and Riviera coastline, La Casa del Camino brings it together like no where else. Guests are welcomed into an experience that takes them down a nostalgic journey of old-world Spanish charisma mixed with an upbeat beachy feel.
All guestrooms have their own unique characteristics and antique furnishings with offerings that include ocean views and non-ocean views in a European style Standard Queen, Deluxe King and the Casa Surf Project suites. Complimentary Wi-Fi and parking is offered for all hotel guests as well as beach amenities including beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and ice cold bottled water.
Envisioned as a place not only for travelers to rest, but a place for the community to gather, a place for art to be appreciated, a place where business and social clubs would flourish and help create a local landmark to proclaim to the world that Laguna Beach is now a destination, not just a stop along the way.
And for the best in light dinner fare and drinks, The Rooftop is the perfect spot for catching good music and fun with a backdrop unlike any other. Enjoy Laguna’s only Rooftop Lounge for a front row seat for a spectacular Pacific coast sunset or leisurely afternoon lunch. Chef Craig Connole serves up California cuisine for lunch and tasty appetizers in the evening.
Enjoy ahi poke, chicken empanadas, Mediterranean dips, and warm baby brie with wild berry sauce, while sipping a fresh mojito or margarita. Gaze out at passing sailboats, and even spouting whales in the distance while you soak in the Laguna Beach lifestyle. All food is priced $12 and under.
