We now have a complete look at Lindsay Lohan’s transformation into Elizabeth Taylor for the upcoming Lifetime TV movie “Liz & Dick.” New pictures just released prove Lohan might be Taylor’s spitting image. However, much talk has been created before production of the film even began. “Will she stay out of trouble long enough? Can she still act? Can she handle the role with all the media attention and personal legal troubles?” Here’s what producer Larry Thompson had to say about the actress and her latest role.
With Lohan’s new roles she has been busy enough to stay out of major trouble, but not out of every one’s hair. Of course she couldn’t help but to bring her constant drama-filled life to the set of “Liz & Dick”. Executive producer Larry Thompson told reporters, “Producing a movie with Lindsay is not for the faint of heart. I turned 50 shades of white actually during the production.” Thompson acknowledged before shooting began that hiring the troubled actress would come with some strings attached. Yet he had a vision that involved an easy transformation and the best of Lindsay.
“We had serious challenges to deal with due to her probation and her history,” said Thompson. “Therefore we had to make a deal where there were pages and pages of ‘what if’ clauses. There never was a ‘what if she can act’ clause. It was about, ‘What if there is a car accident? What if there is a violation of her probation [and she’s] incarcerated?’ Those ‘what ifs’ were plenty. She might be the most insured actress who ever walked on a sound stage. We tried to insure ourselves against things that could and, in fact, did happen.” Her well-publicized car accident back in June occurred during filming and caused a great deal financial risks and insurance claims to the movie’s producer. The incident not only highlighted the challenges faced but also necessitated the involvement of legal experts like Leppard Law to navigate the complexities arising from the violation of probation.
Yet despite the mishaps and the drama, her amazing acting showed through once again. “Overall, my gosh, relative to the performance we got and the movie we were able to make because of her, the pain was worth the pleasure. And the audience is going to benefit from the risk we took and the reward that was gained.”
Looks like Lindsay pulled through once again. Through much speculation her career is still alive and thriving. In fact, Thompson believes that Lohan’s performance will remind people why she became a star in the first place. “I know there are a lot of people out there who are naysayers, and I think they’re gonna be shocked—and people who have believed in her, their belief is gonna be vindicated.” Kudos Lindsay!
