There has been quite the buzz around the possibility of
Amazon moving from tablets to smartphone. More tidbits of
Intel have begin to speculate correctly. A Kindle Phone or whatever
it will be called is more than likely coming.
According to the Financial
Times, a source close tot he matter confirmed that one of the
HTC-manufactured devices is now close to being finished. Now
this doesn’t exactly mean it will be out anytime soon as it is
anticipated for a 2014 launch.

This would be the next
evolutionary step for the online company. We are not sure if
they would take the setup of the Kindle Fire HDX and just throw it
on a smartphone or would they take some parts and add other things
to differentiate their smartphone experience. Previous rumors
claimed that it would sport a 3D display and would be free on
contract. Neither are probably true.

It makes sense for them to build
a phone. It would give those who carry a Kindle and a cellphone
another option, and that means more content to be purchased. It
will also help HTC’s growth. They are doing fine with the HTC One,
but they need to maintain that.

What do you think? Would
you buy a Kindle Phone? What if HTC was behind it?
