It might be time to update from that iPad 2. The third and fourth generation were fairly recent, so that is mostly up to you. The iPad Air is actually thinner than a pencil. Talk about lightweight! How much do you care about processing speeds and a bit of weight loss on the iPad? That’s one of the first things you will notice with the iPad Air. It should be easier to hold with one hand. You can get your hands on it November 1st. The iPad Air comes in space grey, black, white, and silver, but NO gold. (I was actually hoping for that color option).

As a fan of smaller tablets, I was waiting for the iPad Mini with Retina display. The iPad Mini Retina comes at a higher price point than the original at $399 (the original started off at $329). The screen is very sharp. According to Apple, the iPad Mini is 4 times faster than the original and has eight times the graphics performance. The battery life of the Mini Retina is said to be up to 10 hours.
