Marriott Hotels, the flagship brand of Marriott International, is rolling out mobile checkout, a new feature that accompanies mobile check-in on the popular Marriott Mobile App, enabling guests to Travel Brilliantly before, during and after their stay.
How it Works:
- As early as 4AM on the day of departure, guests will be notified on their smartphone that mobile check-out is available.
- Guests will be prompted to provide an email address to receive their bill, leave their room keys in their guestroom, and simply bypass the check-out line on their way out.
To maintain its lead, select Marriott Hotels’ properties are testing future mobile services that will lead to a truly digital two-way conversation with their guests. At these incubator hotels, guests using the chat feature on their smartphones can make requests to hotel staff for things such as extra pillows, bath amenities, towels, valet parking and wake up calls, or anything else. The Marriott Mobile app is just one of the many innovations Marriott Hotels has launched during its transformational journey since the launch of Travel Brilliantly. With the Marriott Mobile app, checkout is simple. In the morning on the day of their departure, Marriott Rewards guests will receive a push notification on their Apple iPhones or Android devices alerting them mobile checkout is available. Upon completing mobile checkout, guests will then be prompted to provide an email address and their bill will be emailed to them, allowing guests to bypass the front desk on their way out.
