What iPad are we up to again? Well Apple is set to introduce the fifth generation iPad in a couple of weeks. I can’t believe it’s been so long since the first one. Check out the latest Apple rumors regarding their next unveiling event in October.
What can we expect from the 5th Generation iPad?
Internally, the change would be the 64-bit A7 chip. It’s the chip that the iPhone 5S is running now. The question remains if the TouchID sensor will be on the 5th gen’s home button. I believe it should be on there. And of course it’s supposed to be thinner and lighter than the 4th-gen iPad.
What can we expect from the 2nd Generation iPad Mini?
So far all we know is that the display will be upgraded to retina display (just what I’ve been waiting for). The processor won’t be the 64-bit, but something else? We’re waiting on that!
A series of leaks has strongly suggested the next full-sized iPads will look just like last year’s Mini, with more angled edges, a portrait shaped bezel, and a thinner design. The Mini itself is expected to sport upgraded internals and come in new colors to match Apple’s recently-launched iPhone 5S models — CNet
We’ll have to wait till Tuesday October 22nd for exact specs. Keep in mind that Nokia is also holding an event in Abu Dhabi that day (announcing 6 devices, including a 6 inch Lumia 1520) and Microsoft’s Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 tablets are set to go on sale.
