myCharge Amp 6000XT Review
With smartphones housing four inch displays and quad core processors, battery life is an issue. Well I’m speaking for those who spend the majority of their day on their phone. Especially in summer days, you need to boost that brightness to see the phone in the sun. Tweeting all day doesn’t help either.
Many of you have seen all the battery packs, cases and chargers. I personally carry a charger with me everywhere I go. When I see an outlet, I make sure to charge whenever possible. But what about those times that I can’t plug in (don’t even want to think about that), well I have a battery pack. I’m sure you’re not surprised. I usually carry the myCharge Summit (it has 3000 mAh). It’s great for charging the multiple devices I have. Earlier this year at CES 2013, I was lucky enough to go to the myCharge booth and see what new chargers they had.
One of them was the myCharge Amp 6000XT. The charger focuses on durability and protection. Made for those who work heavy duty jobs, or like outdoor activities, the myCharge Amp 6000XT won’t be affected by those rough conditions.
myCharge Amp 6000XT Look and Feel
When looking at it, you can see the tough bulky exterior. The myCharge Amp looks like it can handle anything. It has 3 USB ports that allow you to plug in whichever cables you need. It has integrated wall prongs, so all you have to do is flip them out and CHARGE! It even has a 3.1A USB port. Tablets won’t be left out. But the best part is that it’s nearly everything proof. It’s drop-proof, dirt-proof, and splash proof. While we know I’m not the most outdoorsy person, I am definitely one f the clumsiest. I have gotten better, but it’s the best bet for me to be safe.

So What Do You Get Out Of the myCharge Amp 6000 XT?
You can charge your phone up to 3 times and your tablet up to two times. That means up to 27 more hours of talk time (not that I do much talking anyway). That should be more than enough to get through the day. It takes the myCharge Amp a little over 1.5 hours to charge completely. To be safe I always charge it for at least 4 hours.
Likes and Dislikes
A good thing about the myCharge is that comes charged and ready to use. We all love plug and play gadgets! So what’s bad about the myCharge Amp? It might be a little bulky for some. If you don’t need all of that outer protection, there are many alternatives. MyCharge has charging cases for iPhone and most androids (that charge with a Micro USB connection). They also have smaller battery packs. From as little as 1,000 mAh to 9,000. You can check out the myCharge Power Banks HERE.

Needless to say that the myCharge lasted enough to charge my phones and tablet.
