Wanna hear a secret? Apple is working on the first of a new line of less-expensive iPhones and overhauling the software services too. “Why” you ask? They’re moving to accelerate sales of its smartphones against the growing competition. (duh)
The rumor is that the phone is intended for sale to compliment Apple’s existing iPhone line. The new device would be about half the size of the iPhone 4, which is the current model. I’m thinking about the size of the ipod nano (before the new uber-small design.)
The new phone—one of its code names is N97—would be available to carriers at about half the price of the main iPhones. So look out for phones hitting the shelves for about $59 – $89 with 2-year contract.
My question is….Does this mean the iPhone 5 rumors were just rumors and the real phone to be on the lookout in June is this “N97”? What do you think?
