SCANDAL: Kerry Washington’s As Olivia Pope Returns Early on BET
If you’re anything like me, you’ve been sulking all summer long for lack of earth-shattering programming on television. Just yesterday, I had a Scandal itch that just couldn’t be scratched and the fact that I had to wait until Fall programming began had me feeling as hopeless. Lucky for me and self-proclaimed Gladiators alike – BET has officially gained rights to air ABC’s hit drama Scandal and repeat episodes of the first two seasons will start playing on the network this summer.
Once season three of the political series begins this fall, the network will also air new episodes eight days after they premiere on ABC. If Scandalcontinues to run beyond season three, BET will have permission to show those episodes as well.
“We’re thrilled to be joining forces with ABC in airing this dynamic series,” BET chairman Debra Lee told Hollywood Reporter. “Scandal is a cultural phenomenon that has resonated with viewers for the past two seasons and we’re excited to be part of it’s continued journey.”
BET will kick things off with a Scandalmarathon this August.
