The Duane Reade app equipped with iBeacon automatically sends a signal to your phone that you are near a Duane Reade location, triggering a lock screen notification to appear and prompt you to open the app. The notifications offer users a coupon based on prior purchases, present users with product reviews and other handy shopping features.
