Calling all car lovers! From crossovers to coupes, convertibles to compacts, if it’s all wheel drive, chances are I’m in love and what better place to go car crazy than at this year’s 2017 Heels and Wheels event.
Held in scenic Portland, Oregon 16 brands like VW, Aston Martin, Land Rover and Lexus met the likes of dozens of women influencers and auto journalists for three days of fun and driving in the sun. Check out highlights from this year’s Heels And Wheels event featuring Jaguar, VW and more below.
2017 Jaguar F-TYPE SVR Coupe
What can you say about an instant classic like the Jaguar F-TYPE SVR Coupe? Not only is it the faster series production coupe from Jaguar topping out at 200mph, but it also comes with the bells, whistles and stylings that you’d expect from the luxury brand. From the keyless entry, heated seats and rearview camera system to the 770W Meridian Sound system, this coupe was created for those who love to be seen and heard living out loud!

2017 VW Golf Alltrack TSI SEL
While the VW Golf Alltrack wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice in vehicle style, you can’t deny the rich, fiery hue and eye-poping cherry red exterior. As one of the few VW vehicles I’ve come into contact with, it was the first thing that drew me to the 4-door wagon. One of the biggest surprises is that a wagon of this magnitude could drive so nimble and quick. Boasting a 1.8L TSI Turbo 4-Cylinder direct injection engine and 6-speed DSG automatic transmission, the VW Golf Alltrack touts 170hp and 199 lb-ft of torque hitting 60 mph in 7.4 seconds. This definitely isn’t your dad’s station wagon!

2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible
The biggest surprise of them all HANDS DOWN, was the 2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible HSE! I mean, who knew a convertible crossover SUV could feel so commanding, yet fun? As a former Range Rover driver, I’m quite familiar with the pros and cons of driving a Land Rover SUV and because of this, I underestimated the drive, maneuverability and style of the Evoque Convertible. (No wonder it’s one of the best-selling convertibles in the west coast…)
What I loved most (beside the fact that it’s a convertible) was the interior experiences, from the InControl Touch Pro Navigation system with 3D maps to the customizable ambient lighting that lets you choose from 10 different colors to suit any of your many driving moods.

I also got the chance to drive a few other fast coupes including the 2018 Lexus LC 500 hybrid and 2017 Aston Martin DB11 for the first time and I’m looking forward to sharing those Heels and Wheels drives plus many more on DivasDriveInHeels.com soon! (Stay Tuned!)
