Lenovo has been up to a lot lately. They have a whole new lineup of ThinkPads, a new tablet and even a smartphone. Yes, Lenovo is doing it big! They aren’t just business computers. Lenovo has been working to bring the ThinkPad and IdeaPad to both consumers and business without losing too much of either category.

Lenovo Updates and Remodels the ThinkPad
Lenovo is also looking to make the Ultrabook affordable. They recently announced thinner and lighter editions to the ThinkPad family. They recently announced the ThinkPad T440s, ThinkPad T440 and the ThinkPad X240 Ultrabook laptops. They bring larger trackpads and a thinner design. It’s a lot easier for the business person to bring along this new Thinkpad series.
The T440s has a touch HD screen. You can choose to get the T440 with or without a touch LED. It comes with an i5 processor and 1 TB storage. But you can get it with an i7 and up to 12 GB RAM. Talk about power!
”Constant improvements and a strong ambition to always build a better laptop has resulted in thinner, lighter and longer lasting ThinkPad laptops with a simpler and cleaner design and up to an incredible 17 hours of battery life,” said Dilip Bhatia, vice president, Marketing, Think Business Group, Lenovo.
Lenovo ThinkPad T440s available starting end of October priced from $1149.
Lenovo ThinkPad T440 available starting end of October priced from $899.
Lenovo ThinkPad X240 available starting end of October priced from $1099.
There something for everyone. From budget laptops to high powered machines!
Lenovo Updates – IdeaPad and ThinkPad Yoga 2 Officially Announced
Earlier this year, we were lucky enough to review the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13. I believe it to be one of the most successful hybrid laptops/tablets. The hinges were sturdy. The screen could flip back a full 360 degrees to allow multiple viewing modes and it was responsive and fluid.
Continuing with the innovation, Lenovo has recently announced the Yoga 2 Pro. The 13.3 inch display has a resolution of 3,200 x 1,800. The Yoga 2 is also thinner and lighter than the original, weighing just 3 pounds. It will come with Windows 8.1, up to 512 GB SSD and Intel WiDi (helps stream content wirelessly at home). Just like the previously mentioned laptops the Yoga 2 will have fourth generation Intel Core i-series processors. It will also be coming out in October, starting at $1,099.
Out of all these announcements, I am most excited for the IdeaPad Yoga 2. The ultrabook is becoming a staple in the industry and soon there will be many options to choose from. But after reviewing the original IdeaPad Yoga, I am stoked to see what the Yoga 2 has to offer.
