Samsung just announced a new variant of the already-popular Samsung Galaxy S4. Some might say that they don’t feel like the body of the Galaxy S4 is sturdy enough to handle their everyday lifestyle. Samsung has come up with a great solution to that. There is a phone for those who need a more rugged exterior, more protection. Something more than a case can offer. One that is more ideal for the clumsy or the adventurous/outdoors-type. Meet the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.
What’s Different With The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active?
We’re sure you know the basic specs of the original Galaxy S4 already, so what’s new with the Galaxy S 4 Active?
- The body is thicker and it’s dustproof, waterproof (can survive up to 5 minutes in 3ft of water) as it is armed with the highest degree of protection available. You also get a water-resistant headphone jack as well.
- Instead of a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, you get a LCD one with a slightly higher pixel density.
- You are back down to an 8MP rear-camera instead of the 13MP.
- On the front you now have 3 physical buttons instead of just the Home button.
While the majority of the specs remain the same, there are quite a bit of notable changes as well. The Galaxy S4 Active is scheduled for a launch sometime this summer and will arrive in Urban Grey, Dive Blue, & Orange Flare colors.
