iPhone 5S Rumored Specs
While some of the more smaller changes of the upcoming iPhone are still sort of unknown, that may have just changed for the better. The internals on iPhone 5S seem to be more clarified w/ new reports from KGI analyst Mingchi Kuo. The new custom-built 64-bit A7 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a sapphire Home button w/ finger print scanner, and a f/2.0 aperture 8 MP rear-facing camera + dual LED flash. They don’t think the iPhone 5S will have NFC capabilities.
iPhone 5S New Color Option
The newest reveal about the iPhone 5S is the new color option of Gold. This seems to be a “solid” rumor. Joining the standard Black & White, Gold is said to be the 1st time a 3rd color option is available. But don’t expect it to be a Yellowish but more so a Champagne color. To better match the tone of the Slate (Black) color. These colors are expected to do well overseas and are said to be easier to anodize. What do you think?
And just as Apple did w/ the iPad, they may bring the 128GB storage option to the new iPhone as well. Even though that would satisfy those who run out of storage quickly, the 128GB option will be a pricey one. Note: the 128GB iPad is priced at $799 for the Wi-Fi only version + $929 for the LTE model.

How Apple might differentiate the rumored iPhone 5S from the rumored iPhone 5C?
Beyond speed and price, color seems likely to be a key differentiator. It’s entirely possible that Apple decided to keep the focus on white and black (again, silver and slate) for the high-end model, while choosing more playful colors for the lower end. But some people, bored of black and white, may have opted for the 5C simply to add some color to their iLives. So the gold iPhone 5S (with a white front plate, one would assume) would seem to be a decent compromise in that scenario.
AND
Another thought: given Apple’s recent push to play up their California affiliation (the new OS X naming scheme, the “Designed by Apple in California” ad campaign, etc) maybe the gold iPhone could continue this trend. California is, after all, “the Golden State”.
