As a first time Mitsubishi driver, I have to say, I had a few preconceived notions about the sporty suv and wasn’t quite sure if it would suit my style. The Outlander is a great introduction for anyone curious in driving mid-sized sport utility or crossover vehicles. The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander is a seven-passenger crossover SUV that comes in four different trim levels: ES, SE, SEL and GT.
The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander SEL is the crème de la crème trim for the sporty suv. From the inside out, the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander’s interior is sporty chic with a touch of luxe quality and design. The dashboard has a minimalistic look, with soft-touch textures throughout the cabin.
The AWD model comes equipped with18-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors, rear privacy glass, full power accessories, cruise control, automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Mitsubishi’s “Fuse” voice-command infotainment system featuring standard voice controls and a 6.1-inch touchscreen interface. The Outlander may offer three rows of seating, but it also gives serves up plenty of storage space when needed. From lugging around groceries to moving large storage bins, the Outlander (with both the 2nd and 3rd row folded down) boasts up to 63.3 cubic feet. Personally, if you love outdoor bike-riding or camping – the Outlander has plenty of space for luggage, camping equipment and more.
So what surprised me most about the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander? While chasing a little off-roading fun on some roads less traveled, I was amazed at just how quiet the cabin could be. While the exterior hints at being a rugged, yet fun crossover – the interior offers an unexpected quiet luxury, making it a great option for a weekend getaway or a summer long cross-country road trip.
Overall, the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander is crossover utility with a great mix of technology, style and comfort that’s super fun to drive and navigate your next adventure. Want to learn more? Get social with @Mitsucars on Twitter and catch up with the latest news from Mitsubishicars.com.
