The latest BCBG Max Azria collection to cascade the runway isn’t far beyond your buying reach. While getting the scoop backstage in hair and makeup (and taking selfies on Instagram with the designer Max Azria himself!) I discovered in a new social shopping twist, BCBG included “how to buy” the ready to wear runway looks by “liking” an Instagram photo from the collection.
The Instagram shopping tool stems from collaboration between BCBGMaxAzria and the LIKEtoKNOW.it service, which sends an email to users who have “liked” an Instagram photo a link to buy it from the designer’s website. In all, the design house said, nine looks were available for purchase via the new system.
If you fell in love with the spring show flowing with bohemian vibes and plenty of pale, pastels and ethereal colors like bare pink, light blush, aqua, gray violet and lavender, then you’ll be happy to know that the latest collection from BCBGMaxAzria has plenty to go around.
Designers Max Azria and his wife, Lubov, described their Spring 2015 collection as a mix of “timeless elegance with bohemian silhouettes.” The emphasis was on long, filmy garments belted at the waist, in subtle prints or, often, a simple one-color look. A white embroidered motorcycle jacket, though, was my favorite piece paired with a cotton skirt and cotton mesh embroidered top — all in white.
