Over the weekend, some photos leaked of what could possibly be Apple’s budget friendly iPhone – also due out this fall. We spoke on it back in April and all has been pretty quiet on the matter until now.
The unnamed “Budget friendly iPhone” is slated to have:
- A plastic shell reminiscent of the iPhone 3G/S but more so of the iPad mini.
- The same screen size as the i5 sporting a 4inch display w/ 1136 x 640 resolution.
- Expect it to be thicker than the i5.
- It will arrive in a variety of colors as seen in the photos.
This budget friendly iPhone is anticipated to launch in emerging markets/developing countries overseas. That market share is surprisingly held by BlackBerry. No word as of yet if this will make its way to the US but we will keep you all posted. We got these images from a french website (you can see the hiccups in Google Translate):
Some observers have indeed supposed that this element could be a shell replacement for the owners of an iPhone 5 to give it color. While this assumption held in the first sight of the road, light but still significant differences positioning attachment points on the motherboard of the device undoubtedly reject this possibility.
It then noted that the location of the multiple attachment points of the internal components such as the motherboard and the connection port Lightning coincide more or less with the same points positioning components of the iPhone 5.
In short, this case could actually be that the hypothetical iPhone plastic input-end but the shadow of a Chinese copy still flat over these pictures … Until further evidence confirm or deny the leak, so I only let you draw your own conclusions …
