Do you know who Crystal Windham is? You should? If you own or have been in a Chevy recently, chances are – she was responsible for the interior design. In an interview with DivasDriveInHeels.com earlier this year, Crystal shared her journey and experiences that led her to becoming the first African American female design director in General Motors’ history.
But on last night, it was all about her showcasing her latest design success the all new 2014 Chevy Impala LTZ.
Designing award-winning environments that create lasting emotional connections with GM consumers is Crystal Windham’s job and passion. She was a guiding force behind the redesign of the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Impala, the brand’s iconic flagship sedan. In her role, Crystal directs a dedicated and talented team of designers, sculptors, digital sculptors and studio engineers. Crystal is the catalyst behind the dramatic improvements GM has been making in the area of interior design. It is the combination of an impressive body of work and leadership that have earned this Detroit native some of the industry’s highest awards and accolades, including several Car of the Year awards, Emerging Leader Award, 100 Leading Women and the 2013 Urban Wheel Award for Designer of the Year.
