When I heard the news about Ken and Barbie possibly rekindling their love affair I couldn’t believe it…but when I heard that I could witness it for myself on Twitter then I jumped right on it! The Barbie & Ken love affair that began in 1961 came to a screeching halt in 2006. As the story tells it, Ken is actively trying to vie for the affection of Barbie once again and is using the power of social media to ignite the spark. But Ken needs your help. Those puppeteers over at Mattel really know how to get 20-something women up in arms about the love-life of an imaginary love-life…(sorta like those Execs responsible for all of VH1’s dating shows.) Personally, I’d love to see a dark-haired, competitor to come in a swoon Barbie — after all, Ken has never really had any competition for Barbie’s attention. (Except for G.I. Joe and that was back in the 80’s…)
