The All-New 2021 Nissan Rogue has upgraded the crossover SUV experience from the inside out. Last week, I spent a day inside the 2021 Nissan Rogue traveling through Michigan’s picturesque autumn roads and the new modern design with convenient tech features will make you take a second look at the Nissan Rogue you thought you knew. If you decide to purchase a Nissan vehicle, be sure that it gets serviced as often as the manual or your local mechanic recommends. First Take
Upon first glance, I noticed the signature design elements that you come to love of the Nissan Rogue. That’s not by accident. The Rogue is known for its distinct lines including the floating roof, double v-motion grille, and LED signature lamps. Don’t let the aggressive design fool you. The new Rogue is definitely designed with the young hip family life in mind.
From the nearly 90-degree opening rear doors (great for fitting everything from car seats to huge shopping bags) independent temperature controls and increased headroom – the space redesign was evenly distributed for all passengers to enjoy.
The 2021 Nissan Rogue is one of the more family-friendlier crossover SUVs with a full-on family hub and smart storage design created with parents and kids in mind. If you’ve ever found yourself in search of more storage options, the Rogue has you covered. The larger door pockets allow for up to 32oz cups or water bottles to fit with ease. Additionally, the rear cargo is even designed to hold groceries like gallon-sized apple cider jugs securely in place. The front center console offers a butterfly opening giving the driver or front passenger easier access to storage or USB connectivity.

With a total of six power sources (2) USB-A, (2) USB-C, (2) 12Volt outlets – there’s no shortage of access to connectivity anywhere inside the Rogue. It boasts standard Android Auto and even wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless smartphone charging. Doubling as a Wi-Fi hotspot, the Rogue offers the comfort of staying connected, no matter where you are on the road.
Another cool feature is the Nissan Concierge Personal Assistant service which gives drivers 24-hour access to a live concierge team. Imagine ordering groceries while on the road or knocking out your Amazon Prime orders while stuck in traffic. This complimentary service is available to try out for free during your first six months of ownership.
The Drive
Who doesn’t love a smarter driving experience? The Nissan Rogue ProPILOT Assist offers an enhanced driving experience without the additional premium price. The improved sensors aid drivers with better steering and braking. (It comfortably feels like the Rogue can literally drive itself). The new enhanced ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link actually uses the navigation system to predict freeway driving conditions and will reduce speed based on curved roads and exits.
During the rainy-day drive, I didn’t get the full-on opportunity to explore the five different driving modes. I kept it simple in Standard and Eco mode but lookout for a follow-up review where I’ll get a chance to put Sport, Off-road (AWD), and possibly Snow (AWD) to the test soon.

The Nissan 2021 Rogue has four different trim levels for all kinds of drivers. From the intro level S trim (starting at $25,650) all the way up to the new Platinum trim (starting at $35,430). Overall, the new 2021 Nissan Rogue offers a robust upgrade in space and technology for the price. In comparison to the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, or Toyota RAV4 you can’t find a better crossover.
