Recently, I’ve already begun making strides towards healthier living with a few alterations to my daily lifestyle…
Taking the scenic route and walking a little more. Just by getting off the subway, one stop early everyday can earn you a few hundred walking steps towards your weekly goal. By taking a few extra steps each day, I’m earning an additional 1,547 steps towards my 10,000-step daily goal (and earning 250 Balance Rewards towards my redeemable cash coupon on my next Walgreens purchase.)
Drinking more water during lunch and between meals. I’ve never been a huge fan of drinking water, however now I have just a little more incentive besides the natural benefits that drinking more water brings. Drinking more glasses of water throughout the day and in between meals also adds more bonus Balance Rewards points, points that can be used on a nice water filter or your next bottle of Smart Water.
Joining in fun activities like running and yoga. This past weekend, I checked out my neighborhood fitness track and joined a fitness group dedicated to walking, group exercises and making fitness fun again. My Yoga activity (no matter how bad my downward dog looked) counted towards more Balance Reward points.
