U-S-H-E-R R-A-Y-M-O-N-D has been a very busy man. Not only is he preparing to star as boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard in an upcoming biopic, and is currently serving as a mentor on NBC’s “The Voice”, he’s also taken the time to star in a new Samsung-produced short film entitled “Looking 4 Myself”. In the film, Usher is locked in a battle and seeking revenge against the celebrity version of himself after fame destroys his romantic relationship. usher samsung tv

Highlighting the Samsung Smart TV, the film shows the features of the 2013 Samsung Smart TV. In the film, Usher uses motion control to scroll through images of he and his ex, and he also uses his dance moves to control a variety of features on the television (similar to the how-to video I filmed last year… shameless plug.)
It was my opportunity to kind of have an action-packed moment, which was off the beaten path of what I normally do. I don’t normally fight in videos that much, [though I usually] am kind of fighting myself. So it’s a battle between me and myself, but dramatized. The action was a little inspired by that Will Smith movie Hancock, and also The Matrix. There’s a lot of action, a lot of special effects, and a lot of stunts. But I don’t want to give everything away! –Usher Raymond on Samsung TV collaboration
