Recently, I found myself assisting other New Yorkers construct skyscrapers, small sheds and bridges connecting a small metropolis of LEGOs inside of New York’s Highline park. At the time, I was so excited to build with all white LEGOs and thought the idea of adults constructing with building blocks was childhood fun too good to limit to kids.
If you’ve ever found yourself reminiscing on the wonder and joy you experienced building with Legos as a kid – I have good news for you! EverBlocks are the toys (and building accessories) of the future.
These large-scale modular building blocks are like giant Legos meant for more grown-up applications, like coffee tables, dividing walls or even home bars. And just like the tinier bricks of our youth, they can be assembled and disassembled with relative ease.

EverBlock offers a full-size block (think: a foot-long version of the classic Lego brick) a half-size block, a quarter-size block and a smooth-top finishing cap block. The full size features eight “connector lugs” that interlock with the bottoms of other blocks. To avoid disastrous toppling over, EverBlock recommends aligning blocks over seams between blocks for more stability.
At just four shapes and sizes, these giant blocks certainly aren’t a replacement for the thousands of elements in the Lego range. But at such a large scale, just a few blocks do the work of hundreds of tiny bricks and ignite DIY furniture creations of epic proportions!
